High level of hypocrisy from Tea Party protesters

The photo of the Tea-Party protesters on page 3 caught my attention in Wednesday’s (March 17) paper. I noticed a large “No Socialized Medicine” sign and a “Hands off my Health Care” sign held by a senior citizen. I assume she has Medicare as her health insurance, a government run program that works well.

I suggest a degree of hypocrisy is evident in their message. They enjoy Medicare, yet denounce a comprehensive health insurance program for younger Americans (30 million of them).

Perhaps the Tea Party members that enjoy Medicare might consider the possibility that other Americans would enjoy and deserve health insurance as well.
