Herman Proctor

Memorial services for Herman “Speedy” Proctor of Auburn will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Higgins Lions Community Center.

Mr. Proctor died Friday, Jan. 9, at Kaiser in Roseville. He was 60.

He was born Oct. 23, 1943, in Santa Monica to Maury Proctor and Mildred Stone. He was the superintendent at the Lake of the Pines Golf Course in the 1980s. He enjoyed billiards.

He is survived by his sons Jim Proctor and Bob Proctor, both of Auburn; daughter, Kerry Proctor of Davis; granddaughter, Lacey Proctor of Auburn; grandson, Dillon Proctor of Auburn; mother, Mildred Walters of Carson City, Nev.; brother, Jim Proctor of Carson City; and companion, Dolly Manteufel. He was preceded in death by his father, Maury, and brother, Larry.
