Henrietta Griffin-McDonough

Henrietta Griffin-McDonough died Feb. 4 in Grass Valley. She was 88.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Chapel of the Angels Mortuary, Grass Valley.

Mrs. Griffin-McDonough was born Dec. 15, 1919, in Windisch Minikoff, Austria, to Fred Wolf and Henrietta Yost. She attended high school in Kelso, Wash. She married Lawrence Griffin on July 18, 1942. She married her second husband, Thomas McDonough, on August 29, 1968.



Mrs. Griffin-McDonough worked as a secretary for Lachman Bros. for 20 years. She was a member of garden clubs and enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading.

Mrs. Griffin-McDonough is survived by her daughters, Frieda Petrovffsky, of Penn Valley, and Mary MacLaren, of Incline Village, Nev.; son, Larry Griffin, of Anderson; sister, Freda Kelly, of Delores, Colo.; brother, Fred Wolf, of Toledo, Ore.; grandsons, Darren Petrovffsky, of Golden Valley, Ariz., Jason Petrovffsky, of Nevada City, and Jeff Peek, of Elk Grove, Calif.; granddaughter, Jenifer Perfler, of Ione; and great-grandchildren Haley, Ashley, Zachary, Nicolas, James, Carl and Jocelyn.




She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Griffin, and her second husband, Thomas McDonough.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 2399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley, CA 95945.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
