Help on a bad day

I want to thank all those kind and generous people that came to my assistance last Saturday, July 14, when my truck caught fire while hauling my horse from Davis to Grass Valley. Within minutes of pulling over on Highway 49 near the Brunswick turnoff, with smoke billowing from my transmission, someone stopped with fire extinguisher in hand and began putting out the fire.

Shortly thereafter, the county sheriff, C.H.P. and the Grass Valley Fire Department showed up. Everyone was terrific. It was a terrifying situation for me and I was well taken care of. The sheriff arranged for me to get towed off the freeway by Fischer Towing. The driver went above and beyond the call of duty to take me safely to my destination.

I have always thought Grass Valley was a lovely place; I now know what a great community you have. Thanks again.
