Memorial services for Heavy Eagle of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m today at Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley.

Mr. Eagle died Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Grass Valley.

He was born March 7, 1969, in Texas. He moved to Grass Valley in 1993 from Hollywood. He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidsons, reading science fiction novels, computers, music, camping, his family and his heritage. He was known as the “Barbecue King.”

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Eagle; mother, Isabell Zornoza; father, Jaime Zornoza; children Scye Little Feather Eagle and Takoda Rain Eagle; siblings Hugo, Luis, Elvis, Biola, David, Alin, Trish and Lindy Zornoza; stepmother, Tina Casas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the trust account for Scye and Takoda under the name of the Eagle Family Trust Fund at Citizens Bank, 11709 Sutton Way, Suite A, Grass Valley 95945.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels.
