Hearing against asphalt plant operator in Meadow Vista postponed

The Placer County Superior Court has postponed a summary judgment hearing until May 22 for a lawsuit filed by Meadow Vista Protection against Chevreaux Aggregates, Inc.

The lawsuit, filed by a group of residents in Meadow Vista and surrounding communities last July, contends that Chevreaux has violated the conditions of its permit for operating an asphalt plant at its quarry in Meadow Vista.

MVP includes residents of Lake of the Pines in southeastern Nevada County, which sits within a 3-mile radius of the plant.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, May 22 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 3 of Placer County Superior Court, 101 Maple Street, Auburn.
