Hazel Creviston

Services for Hazel Irene Creviston of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Burial will be at the Goodyears Bar Cemetery.

Mrs. Creviston died Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Roseville. She was 87.

She was born Jan. 2, 1915, in Humbird, Wis., to George and Carrie Woodford. She graduated from high school. She married Orville Roy Creviston on Oct. 12, 1937, in Decorah, Iowa.



She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eastern Star Evangeline Chapter No. 9 of Nevada City and of Neva Rebekah Lodge No. 119 in Nevada City. She enjoyed needlework of all kinds.

She is survived by her daughters Dixie L. Cornwell of Orangevale, Linda L. Marshall of Downieville and Cynthia K. Mitchell of Sacramento; son, Terry Creviston of Roseville; grandchildren Stacey Bisnett, Jennifer Werts, Stephanie Coleman, Kevin and Don Marshall, Toni Dow, Melissa Moya and Cody, Sarah and Timothy Creviston; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in June 1988, four brothers and four sisters.




Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Star Lodge.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
