Hawaiians featured Friday

Hawaiian slack-key guitar masters Led Kaapana and Dennis Kamakahi will be joined Friday by Patrick Landeza, Herb Ohta Jr., Keoki Kahumoku and David Kamakahi, billed as “Hawaiian Music’s Next Generation,” at the Center for the Arts.

The “next generation” members play slack-key guitar and ukulele.

This performance is part of a California tour.

Friday’s showtime is 8 p.m.

Admission is $15. Advance tickets are at Love Shack Records, Yabobo, BriarPatch and The Book Seller or by calling (800) 594-8499.

The Center for the Arts is at 314 W. Main St. in Grass Valley.

The Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe Community Project celebrated the groundbreaking of the Truckee Downtown Park Project located at the Church Street Community Arts Center.
