Harry Johnston

Private services are planned for Harry “Tony” Johnston, 65, of Grass Valley, who died Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Johnston was born Sept. 20, 1937, in Pittsburg, Okla., to Clayton and Edna (Wade) Johnston. He attended Nevada Union High School. He married Marlene Aug. 28, 1984, at Chapel of the Fountain in Riviera, Ariz. He was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, riding motorcycles, golfing, telling stories, and helping people.



He is survived by his wife, Marlene of Grass Valley; daughters Alice “Missy” Richardson and Kristina Johnston, both of Grass Valley; son, Shawn Johnston of Grass Valley; sister, Peggy Schofield of Grass Valley; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Johnston; and brother, Johnnie Johnston.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels.
