Harry Huff

A memorial service for Harry George Huff of Rough and Ready will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.

Mr. Huff died Thursday, Aug. 22, at the age of 87.

He was born Sept. 20, 1914, in La Junta, Colo., to George Henry and Ethel (Lilly) Huff. He attended school through the eighth grade and married Reba on Nov. 28, 1935, in La Junta. He was a farmer, dairy farmer and locksmith. He enjoyed gardening and fixing things.



Mr. Huff is survived by his wife, Reba Elizabeth Huff of Rough and Ready; sons Gerald Eugene Huff and Duane Harry Huff, both of Rough and Ready; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl; and a sister, Meela Michaelis.

Hooper and Weaver Mortuary is handling arrangements.
