Harold Walker

Harold Vernon Walker, 78, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, in Sacramento.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be at Forest View Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mr. Walker was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Lemon, S.D., to Clarence and Vera (Heidle) Walker. He graduated from Nevada City High School in 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he worked at Aerojet and McClelland in chemical engineering for 40 years.



He is survived by his brother, Clyde Walker of Nevada City; nephew, Mark Walker; nephew and niece-in-law Larry and Denise Walker; nieces Dawn Alzina and Natasha Walker; great-nieces Shelby Marie Walker, and Cameron Michelle Walker; and great-nephew, Kyle Nicholas Borg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vera Walker; and brother, Robert L. Walker.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
