Harold Sherman

Memorial services for Harold F. Sherman of Penn Valley will be conducted at a later date.

Mr. Sherman died Sunday, March 13, in Grass Valley. He was 73.

He was born May 21, 1931, in Butler, Pa., to Harold F. Sherman and Helen Shaw-Sherman. He served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer 1, chief boatswain’s mate first class, retiring after 28 years. He married Bonnie Rose on Nov. 19, 1969, in Reno, Nev. He played in the “Voices of the Seniors” softball league. He enjoyed fishing, softball and his family.



He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sherman of Penn Valley; daughters Carmen Pajkos and Pamela Tighe, both of Fairfield; son, Jay Carr of Smartville; sister, Peg Hortert of North Washington, Pa.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Word-A-Live Family Church.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
