Harold Howard

Visitation for family and friends of Harold “Buck” Howard of Billings, Mont., will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grass Valley.

Mr. Howard died Sunday, Sept. 22, in Billings. He was 92.

He was born April 12, 1910, in Enid, Okla., to Scott and Jessie Howard. He worked for more than 50 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was an honorary member of the Golden Empire Travel Club in Nevada County. He lived in Nevada County from 1969 until 31/2 years ago, when he moved to Billings to be near his daughter and her family. He and his wife, Addie, were avid RV travelers.

He is survived by his daughters Barbara McCoy of Casper, Wyo., Janet Wyatt of Dayton, Wyo., and Rita Pulliam of Billings; son, Thomas Howard of Brookings, Ore.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Addie Howard, in 1990; and grandson Greg Wyatt.

Memorial contributions to Hospice of the Foothills are preferred.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
