Hardin resigns as MIM choral director

Ken Hardin, choral director of Nevada County’s premier music organization, will resign as of Aug. 1, Music in the Mountains officials said today.

“Ken has been a guiding light at MIM for the past 20 years. His many choral and piano performances have delighted audiences over the years,” Executive Director Marge Rath said in a prepared statement.

Hardin, a well-known jazz pianist who lives in Grass Valley, will devote his time to his teaching duties, Rath said.

In addition, Hardin directs and conducts for the Twin Cities Concert Association, plays in a piano duo with MIM founder Paul Perry, an plays in the Reno Philharmonic and the Chico State New Music Symposium, among other activities.
