Guitarist Hans York returns in all-acoustic solo show

“Hans York is a man of vast musical talents and one of the best songwriters around”- European Weekly, April 2005

Coming back to Grass Valley tonight for his fourth time, Seattle singer Hans York performs an all-acoustic solo show in the Joyce Miller House Concert series. Anyone who loves guitar will not want to miss him because he does something unusual. He is a DADGAD player – open guitar tuning, mostly used in Irish music. Put that together with a voice that often draws comparisons to Paul Simon and Sting, and you have an evening of pleasurable listening.

York tours worldwide and has several albums to his credit, including his first American album, “Inside Out,” which blends pop, folk, jazz and acoustic music. Currently, he tours with U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion Jamie Laval.

The evening starts at 7:30 p.m. at 12247 Polaris Dr. Admission is $12 at the door. Call 272-6498 for more information or go online at hans@hansyork.com
