Good Samaritans

Several weeks ago I lost my car keys near Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce. After retracing my steps three times I stepped into the Chamber where employee Donna bent over backwards to try and help me, but to no avail.

The only identification on the key chain was my coded card to Fast and Fit, the ladies gym I belong to. Owner Judi Bannister has a well trained, supportive, friendly staff to whom I reported my problem.

To my surprise, some three plus weeks later, I received a phone call from Joyce, one of the trainers from Fast and Fit, with the good news that some very kind anonymous gentleman had dropped off the keys which they were able to identify as belonging to me.

So sir, whomever you might be, please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for your act of kindness. I know you had to look up the address of Fast and Fit, and then take the time and gas to drop off a set of lost keys for someone you have never met. Thank you, thank you. May someone bless your life as you have done mine.

Also, I want to thank Donna from the Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce as well as Judi Bannister, owner of Fast and Fit, and her great staff for the part they played in solving a relatively small problem, but one which created great inconvenience.

As a relatively new citizen of Nevada County I have fallen in love with my new community and this act of kindness is just one more reason why this is such a great place to live.

To all you “Good Samaritans” a warm and very sincere thank you.
