Good kitties in desperate need of safe homes at Nevada County Animal Shelter

Please help the beautiful but homeless cats get safe homes from our terribly overcrowded Nevada County Animal Shelter on McCourtney Road. The Shelter is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The telephone number is 273-2179.

There were way too many kittens born and turned in this year. The kittens find homes first, leaving the adults behind to wait and hope for a good home.

Of course, if all cats were responsibly spayed, this surplus of homeless cats would not be happening! Do not think you, if this applies, are doing a good thing by giving away free unspayed kittens and not making sure they are spayed. This makes the problem even worse.

Now, there is a wonderful and convenient answer to cat overpopulation problem and that is the new AnimalSave spay/neuter mobile in Grass Valley! The telephone number is 477-1706.
