Gold Country Community Center hosts annual fundraiser dinner

The Gold Country Community/Senior Center is hosting its annual fundraiser dinner on Friday, April 13. This year’s theme is “A Pirate Soiree.”

There will be an auction during the dinner, said Francisco Lovato, development director at the center. Entry fee to the party is $40 per person. Those interested to attend should make reservations by Thursday by calling the Gold Country Community Center at 273-4961.

The center is also looking for volunteers to help decorate the venue as well as prepare the appetizers on Thursday and Friday from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Volunteers would be able to attend the dinner for free, Lovato said.

The Gold Country Community/Senior Center offers low and no-cost recreational, educational and socializaton programs for all ages, Lovato said. The center houses the High Noon Senior Nutrition Program that sponsors the Meals of Wheels program.
