Global warming forum set for Monday

A group of local nonprofits are banding together Monday for a forum designed to combat global warming.

APPLE, Power Up-NC, KVMR, Cool Communities and other community groups have organized the event set for 6 to 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Madelyn Helling Library Community Room in Nevada City.



A discussion on how participants can lower their carbon footprint will be discussed among other topics.

Nevada County launches grant program

On Tuesday, the Nevada County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved $2 million to launch a new “Community Resiliency Grants” program with funds from the American Rescue Plan Act, a news release states.
