Gladys Clemo

Gladys M. Clemo, 102, of Grass Valley died Saturday, July 3, at Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital in Grass Valley. Burial will be at the New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley.

No services are planned.

Mrs. Clemo was born Nov. 18, 1901, in Cornwall, England, to William Prisk Bray and Mary Anne Mitchell. She married Fred Clemo in September 1919, in Grass Valley. She worked for Sprouse Reitz, Boys Store and Family Tree. She was a member of the White Shrine and the Rebekahs Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking.



She is survived by her daughter, Everil Skewes of Grass Valley; grandsons Gary Keeler of Foresthill, and Ronald Skewes of Grass Valley; granddaughter, Sharon Callaway of Klamath Falls, Ore; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Clemo; daughter, Vivian Keeler; grandson, Dan Keeler; son-in-law, Bill Skewes; and great-grandson, Curtis Skewes.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
