Gifts available featuring Nevada City’s signature

This year’s commemorative wine glasses and coffee mugs have arrived at the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce. The design, by local artist Loana Beeson, features a holiday adorned gaslight.

These quality souvenir glasses and mugs sell for $5 each and are a lasting gift and remembrance of Victorian Christmas. This is the 14th year of the series and only a limited number are available. Each year the Chamber sells out before Christmas, so stop by the Chamber office and purchase yours before we have to say, “sorry, we are all sold out”!!

Other items available for the Victorian Christmas collection are two sided, 2 and one-half-inch by 3-inch pewter ornaments depicting Victorian carolers underneath a gaslight and a gold panner. The ornaments are engraved “Nevada City.” These quality ornaments sell for $8 each and will make a great present for anyone who wants a remembrance of Nevada City’s old fashioned Christmas celebration.

Gift items offered in the Chamber office include Nevada City sweatshirts, T-shirts, coffee mugs, latte cups, magnets, note cards, local history books, and geodes and tea lights depicting gold miners. And for those in the holiday spirit, there are shot glasses and cordials in various shapes and colors with a “Nevada City” signature. The Chamber office is located at 132 Main St., in Nevada City and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. The telephone number is 265-2692.

Also available in Nevada City for your holiday shopping are Nevada City wines, P.J.’S gift packages, local books, clothing and unique gift items. Remember, too, that gift certificates are available at most Nevada City stores, restaurants, lodging facilities and even the Nevada City Carriage Co.
