Gerald Sainsbury

Private services for Gerald William “Bill” Sainsbury of Penn Valley will be held. He died Wednesday, March 23, in Penn Valley, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was 85.

He was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He worked for the Veterans Administration.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Sainsbury of Penn Valley; daughter, Becky Collins of San Diego of San Diego; son, William Sainsbury of Roseville; and five grandchildren.



Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Research, Penn Valley Fire Department, or Hospice.
