George Jordan Jr.

A memorial mass for George M. Jordan Jr. of Auburn will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila, 11600 Atwood Road in Auburn. Inurnment will be at the Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Ore.

Mr. Jordan died Friday, Aug. 6, at home. He was 78.

He was born Jan. 23, 1926, in Shannock, R.I., to George Jordan Sr. and Louise Pouilart. He served as a petty officer third class A&E in the U.S. Navy. He married Laurie on March 23, 1945, in Pensacola, Fla. He retired from United Airlines after 35 years as a maintenance foreman.



He is survived by his wife, Laurie Jordan of Auburn; son, Stephen Jordan of San Jose; daughters Lynne Still of Grants Pass, Ore., and Liane Fremd of Kirkland, Wash.; and grandchildren Paul Jordan of the U.S. Army, Jason Robinson of Fremont, Kellie Jordan of San Jose, and Nathaniel and Kyle Fremd both of Kirkland, Wash.

Memorial contributions may be made to Auburn Faith Hospice, 11795 Education St., Suite 224, Auburn 95602-2410.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
