Gary Redfern

Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Unity in the Gold Country, 500 Crown Point Circle, Ste. 100, Grass Valley, for Gary Lee Redfern. A reception will follow from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. at Unity in the Gold Country. Mr. Redfern passed away suddenly July 2 in Grass Valley due to a pulmonary embolism. He was 55.

Mr. Redfern was born Aug. 22, 1951, to James Stuart Redfern and Evelyn Dorothy Jasmer in Kansas City, Mo.

He completed 14 years of school and attended Ministerial School at Unity Village in Kansas City, Mo.

Mr. Redfern was a professional portrait photographer and owner of Redfern Photography. He was a member of the Grass Valley Elks Lodge, Nevada Co. Gem and Mineral Society, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International and Gold Country Fly Fishers. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, welding and RVing.

In February of 1997, he married Lisa Vicars.

Mr. Redfern is survived by his wife, Lisa Redfern of Grass Valley; sons Andrew Redfern,of Berkeley, Daniel Redfern, of Rocklin and Benjamin Redfern,of Grass Valley. His business of 25 years, Redfern Photography, will be carried on by his family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to your favorite charity.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
