Garden party to raise funds for homeless shelter

A Japanese-style garden will provide the setting for a wine tasting on Friday evening that will raise funds for Harmony House, a homeless shelter in Grass Valley.

The public is invited to sip vintages from Indian Springs winery and listen to classical music by the Los Angeles-based Martinai Trio, performing with local guitarist Brandon Yip.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday at Jan and Steve Roth’s connecting gardens known as “Mekhaye, ” located on 12282 N. Bloomfield Road in Nevada City.

Tickets will cost $30 at the door. Advance tickets for $25 are available at the Bookseller in Grass Valley and Indian Springs Tasting Room in Nevada City.
