Gail Joleen McCrill died June 29 at the Grass Valley Care Center. She was 89.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hilltop Commons. The Rev. Dave Baker will officiate. Burial will take place at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.

Mrs. McCrill was born Feb. 15, 1919, in Milltown, Wis., to Grace Lane and Joel Engelstad. She attended Kasson High School in Minnesota. She married Leonard McCrill on April 26, 1938. She worked at Sunsweet for 25 years and was a member of the Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golf, cross stitching and cake decorating.

Mrs. McCrill is survived by her husband, Leonard McCrill of Grass Valley; son, Kenneth McCrill; daughters Sandra Wilgenbush of Oakley, Karen Howard of Forndale, Kathy Schultz of Oregon House, Terri Jaffuel of Tualatin, Ore., and Lorri Duarte of Grass Valley; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Merece Langworthy of Kasson, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley or Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
