Future of Idaho-Maryland Mine to be discussed tonight

Are you curious about plans to revive Grass Valley’s Idaho-Maryland Mine?

Tonight, mining representatives will present their plans to the Grass Valley City Council.

For nearly 30 years, attempts have been made to resurrect the gold mine, which has more than 72 miles of tunnels dating back to 1862.

The area is located between Idaho-Maryland Road and East Bennett Street, east of downtown Grass Valley. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. today in the Council Chambers at 125 E. Main St.
