Funds misspent

In regards to The Union’s View of Sept. 24, I thank you for telling it like it is.

I am sure that Dryden Wilson, who worked long and hard for his monies, would be the first to object to Conklin and Martin donating his bequest to a land trust.

The restoration of the North Star House should be by fund raising and donations, not by monies donated for children’s recreation and parks.

It is even more appalling that changes were done without a historic assessment and may leave this project unable to obtain future grants.
