Friends of Nevada County Libraries present author night with Francisco Lovato

The Friends of the Nevada County Libraries invite the public to meet Francisco Lovato and learn about “Survivor,” the biography he wrote as a tribute to his father, Frank Lovato, a survivor of the World War II Bataan Death March.

Frank Lovato died a few months ago but his story lives on through this book.

The program will include slides as well as some moving songs. The evening promises to bring history alive through a very personal account of resilience and sacrifice.

The event is free and will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9 at the Community Room of Madelyn Helling Library, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City. Books will be available for sale and signing and light refreshments will be served.

For information, call (530) 265-1407 or visit FriendsOfTheNevadaCountyLibraries.org
