Friday a day to meditate, see a movie

Ghanian Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah was born with a deformed right leg. While most of Ghana’s 2 million citizens who are deemed “disabled” suffer discrimination, abandonment and ridicule, Emmanuel dedicated his life instead to traveling the country via bicycle to open people’s minds and to transform lives.

See a film about this extraordinary man, “Emmanuel’s Gift,” on Friday, April 6, at the Sierra Center For Meditation And Well-Being, 10260 Ridge Road, Nevada City. Oprah Winfrey narrates the film.

This is part of a series at the center, “Meditation and a Movie.” Meditation starts at 7 p.m., followed by the film.

Check out http://www.SierraMeditation.org, or call 530-265-5764 for more information.

The event is free.
