UPDATE: Frenchtown Fire 100% contained, Cal Fire says

UPDATE 10:24 a.m. Thursday, July 22:

The Frenchtown Fire in Yuba County is 100% contained, Cal Fire wrote in a tweet Thursday morning.

The fire, west of Dobbins, burned 45 acres, according to Cal Fire’s final fire report.

From Cal Fire: Frenchtown/Dobbins Rd. in Yuba County. Forward progress stopped. Fire is 75% contained. Approximate size of main fire 70 acres. The spot fire to the north 20 acres. Firefighters will continue to strengthen control lines and mop up any hot spots today.

The Frenchtown Fire is 25% contained, and at 90 acres.

From Cal Fire: MANDATORY EVACUATION: Vavassuer Way, Winther Way, Chavez Way, and Brett Way are now also under mandatory evacuation, in addition to current Camper Lane, La Place Lane, and Clark Ranch Road.

The main fire is about 70 acres, with a spot fire north of the main fire at about 20 acres.

Firefighters responded Tuesday afternoon to a 20-acre blaze near Frenchtown Road, Cal Fire said.

The fire — near the 9800 block of Frenchtown Road, west of Dobbins in Yuba County — started at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday, Cal Fire states.

The blaze was zero percent contained at 6 p.m. Tuesday, reports state.
