A piece of metal from a vehicle reportedly started a small grass fire off Highway 49 near the Idaho-Maryland Road off-ramp.

The fire was first reported at 3:43 p.m., and was contained by 4 p.m. No one was hurt in the fire.

Traffic that was already stalled by road construction moved even slower for the 20 minutes that fire crews wrestled with the blaze.
