Fredrick Stanchfield

Memorial services for Fredrick D. Stanchfield of Nevada City will be conducted later in the spring at Donner Mine Camp.

Mr. Stanchfield died Wednesday, March 3, at home. He was 60.

He was born March 9, 1943, in Minneapolis, to Dale and Evelyn Stanchfield. He received a B.S. from Sacramento State. He was camp manager of Donner Mine Camp, Emigrant Gap for the past 23 years. He married Lin on Dec. 23, 1980, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He was a member of the Reno Air Race Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed flying and volunteering at the Reno Air Races and Grass Valley Air Fest as a security guard. He also enjoyed gunsmithing and computers.



He is survived by his wife, Lin Stanchfield of Nevada City; Mother, Evelyn Clark of Minneapolis, Minn.; step-brother, Barry Clark of Bend, Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Stanchfield; step-father, Donald Clark; sister, Myla Jorgansen; and brother, Tom Stanchfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
