Freddy Julsing

Memorial services for Freddy A. Julsing of Grass Valley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ananda Village, Hansa Temple.

Mr. Julsing died Saturday, Jan. 15, at home. He was 62.

He was born March 12, 1942, in The Hague, the Netherlands, to Frikke A. and Alberdina (Vonk) Julsing. He attended the Free Academy of Art in The Hague, the Netherlands and received equal to a BA in fine arts. He married Kay Watters on Dec. 21, 1997, in San Francisco. He was an artist and writer. He enjoyed art, writing, hiking in nature, languages and their history and origin.



He is survived by his wife, Kay Watters Julsing of Grass Valley; daughter Deirdre Julsing of Vlissingen, The Netherlands; grandson, Charan de Haan of Vlissingen, The Netherlands; step-granddaughters Marte and Roos de Haan of Vlissingen, The Netherlands; step-daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and John Ahern of Citrus Heights; stepson, Rick Watters of Long Beach; and step-grandchildren Riley and Sean Ahern of Citrus Heights.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945, or Cancer Aid Thrift Store, 317 S. Auburn St., Grass Valley 95945.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
