Frank Klaiber

Frank Klaiber, 72, of Grass Valley died Thursday, Jan. 22, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital from complications following brain surgery.

No services are planned. Inurnment will be in Hawaii at a later date.

Mr. Klaiber was born July 1, 1931, in Bavaria, Germany, to Michael Klaiber and Ann Kusterer. He immigrated to California nearly 50 years ago. He lived in Merced, San Francisco, Redwood City and Belmont before moving to Grass Valley in 1983. He owned and operated Launderland in the Gold Country Center for eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Grass Valley; brothers Michael and Alfred, both of Germany; sister, Elfriede of Germany; sisters-in-law Marlene Kinney and Geraldine Camara of California; brother-in-law, Milton Camara of Hawaii; and one niece and six nephews, all of Germany.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills or the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
