Frank Gallino

A memorial mass for Frank Leslie Gallino will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grass Valley.

Mr. Gallino died Monday, Jan. 5. He was 59.

He was born April 9, 1944 in Nevada City, to John and Pauline Galllino. He graduated from Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley, and St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. He taught at St. Mary’s Hall for 18 years. He was a docent at Crocker Art Museum and volunteered at the Sacramento Zoo.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kathleen and Fred Shaner of Waynesboro,Va., step-daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Ryan Aleshevich of Fishersville, Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law Roberta and Don Brodnansky and Frances and Don Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Antone.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Frank Gallino Scholarship Fund in care of Grass Valley Host Lion’s Club at PO Box 2388, Grass Valley, CA 95945.
