Frank Foster

Services for Frank Foster of Penn Valley will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.

Mr. Foster died Tuesday, Jan. 28, in Grass Valley. He was 66.



He was born on Oct. 24, 1936, in Bisbee, Ariz., to Earl Franklin and Charlotte Ann Foster. He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Colorado School of the Mines and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. He worked for F&F Mortgage. He was a member of the 40+ Singles Club and the Ridge Racquet Club. He enjoyed tennis, hiking, camping, boating and biking.

He is survived by his brother, Tom Foster; children Shareen Young, Sandy Hall and Steve Foster; grandchildren Kirsten, Matthew, Loryn, Layne and James; and girlfriend, Karen Howard.




Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
