Frank Billey

Private services for Frank P. Billey of Nevada City will be conducted at a later date.

Mr. Billey died Saturday, Sept. 7, at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto. He was 68.

He was born July 16, 1934, in California to Jayme and Edith Billey. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He married Barbara Jones on April 10, 1965.



He was a cartoonist for more than 64 years. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Billey of Nevada City; daughter, Karen Young of Colorado; son, Kevin Power of Florida; brothers Cyrus Billey and Marty Gacer, both of California; sisters Delores Cassidy and Gertie Ryan, both of California; and grandsons Kyle Young of Oregon, Ryan Young of Colorado and Taylor Young of Colorado.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
