Francis Demers

Services for Francis “Frank” Demers of Grass Valley will be conducted at a later date at the Nevada City Elks Lodge.

Mr. Demers died Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Grass Valley. He was 67.

He was born July 3, 1936, in Massachusetts, to Art and Eugenie Demers. He served in the National Guard. He married Sheila April 12, 1992, in Reno, Nev. He was a retired machinist. He served twice as a past exalted ruler of the Nevada City Elks Lodge. He enjoyed R.V. travel, baseball and reading.



He is survived by his wife, Sheila M. Demers of Grass Valley; daughters Kathy Maderios of Santa Clara, Kimberly Harmon of Cupertino, Karen Slane of Auburn, and Kristen Perry of Chicago Park; sons Kenneth Demers of Livermore, and Steven Curless of Redwood City; and 13 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada City Elks Lodge.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
