Frances McCurry

Memorial services for Frances G. McCurry of Grass Valley will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, 113 S. Church St. in Grass Valley. The Manzanita Parlor No. 19, Native Daughters of the Golden West will officiate the services.

Ms. McCurry died Thursday, Aug. 19. She was 81.

She was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Weed. She had been a resident of Nevada County since 1945.



During this time she was employed by Nevada City, Nevada City Elementary School District and was the owner of Mother Lode Office Service until her retirement in 1997.

She was active as a member and leader of the Chicago Park Hornets 4-H Club, was past president of the Grass Valley Business and Professional Womens Club and was a member of the Manzanita Parlor No. 29, Native Daughters of the Golden West. She had served as secretary for the Native Daughters since 1994.




She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Murphy and Suzette Caddy; son-in-law, Dick Caddy; and grandsons Richard and Ronald Caddy.
