Frances LeBard

Frances Jean LeBard died July 1 at her home in Sparks, Nev.

Services will be at 11 a.m. July 9 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5650 Vista Blvd., Sparks, Nev.

She was born to Julius and Erma Cassano in Camptonville on Aug. 15, 1928. She attended grammar school there and then attended Marysville High School while boarding with the Sperbeck family.



She lived her life in the Reno area with husband Lloyd LeBard Sr. She was a housewife and homemaker, often providing child care to her grandchildren and neighborhood children. She worked for several clubs as a cocktail waitress and hostess.

She was known for her generosity, love of children, sense of humor and hospitality. She consistently looked for the good in others and found it. She valiantly battled cancer for more than 20 years before succumbing to heart disease.




She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd and by her children Michael and Michelle.

She is survived by her children, George LeBard Jr., Lloyd LeBard Jr. and Shirley Vollmer; brothers Charles Cassano and Andrew Cassano; stepchildren Patty LeBard, Darlene Quist and Ron LeBard; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
