Former mailman now making funny

Jason Resler performs Saturday in Grass Valley.
ALL | GrassValleyArchive

Instead of delivering letters, Jason Resler now delivers jokes.

He quit his job as a U.S. Postal Service mailman in Carmichael four years ago. Resler had wanted to be a comic since junior high, but his parents wanted him to get a “real job.”

But being a mailman wasn’t the route Resler wanted to take. Telling jokes in rapid fire every week throughout the Western states is his dream job.

Resler returns to Comedy Night Saturday at the Holbrooke Hotel in Grass Valley.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and the show begins at 9 in the downstairs Iron Door Room at 212 W. Main St., Grass Valley.

Admission is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Call 263-4544 for reservations and/or information.
