Folk singer’s daughter making name for self

Pieta Brown plays Sept. 19 at Center for the Arts.

While Brown is a common name, Pieta is not.

But Pieta Brown is a recognizable name to many folk music fans. Her father is singer Greg Brown, and she is credited on his latest CD, “Milk of the Moon.”

She and Bo Ramsey, Greg Brown’s longtime guitarist and CD producer, will perform in Grass Valley on Sept. 19 at Center for the Arts, 314 W. Main St., beginning at 8 p.m.



Tickets are $12 at BriarPatch, Foggy Mountain Music, Herb Shop Records and at the door.
