Florene Bickerstaff

Florene Bickerstaff, 84, a former resident of Grass Valley, died Tuesday, March 12, at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

No services are planned.

Mrs. Bickerstaff was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Waurika, Okla. She was self-employed in the floor covering and home furnishing accessory industry for 30 years. Mrs. Bickerstaff owned Cedar Brook Farms in Grass Valley. She was a resident of Grass Valley for 40 years before moving to Modesto three years ago.

She is survived by her children Delores Grayam of Tucson, Ariz., Sherry Slavazza of San Jose and Cynthia Scarbrough of Modesto; brother, J.W. Wallace of Vallejo; sisters Leola Ryals of Santa Fe, N.M., and Reba Robertson of Paradise; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of McHenry Chapel-Franklin & Downs in Modesto.
