Firefighters contain south county blaze

Firefighters have gained control of a seven-acre wildfire on Duggans Road at Wolf Meadows Drive at Duggans Road, Calfire personnel reported.

Several people called 911 to report the fire shortly after 2 p.m. today.

Firefighters from Calfire and Higgins Are Fire Protection District responded, along with two tankers, one helicopter, two bulldozers and one air attack plane.



Two handcrews also responded to the blaze, a Calfire dispatcher said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No structures were burned, he said.
