Filmmaker plans to unveil Google march video Wednesday

Google marchers, prepare for the limelight.

A short video of the 95959google rally in Nevada City – a bid to attract Google’s high-speed fiber Internet access – will premiere 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nevada City Council meeting, 317 Broad St., downtown.

Feverishly editing the video, which combines interviews with footage of the March 14 rally, is Suzanne Warren of Silver Avenue Productions.

“We really wanted to show Google we have all the elements behind us – government, community members and high-tech companies,” Warren said.

Both the Nevada City Council and the Grass Valley City Council are voting this week on resolutions in support of the project.

The initiative also garnered a front-page mention in Monday edition of The New York Times.
