Fair mixes fun with lessons about ecology

EcoKids: Ecology Fair for the Young Child takes place Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Imaginarium, 112 Nevada City Highway in Nevada City.

From noon to 4 p.m. enjoy games, crafts, storytelling, animal exhibits, raffle, food and carriage rides. There will also be acts performing on stage: Rock-N-Horse Ranch miniature horses, Grass Valley 4H animal demonstrations, Smokey the Bear, Children’s Haute Trash and Wildlife Rescue: Raptors in your own backyard.

Presented by The Sierra Nevada Deep Ecology Institute for the fourth year, EcoKids attracts more than 350 children and their families.
