Everett Stucky

Everett Harvey Stucky died Oct. 24, 2007, in Grass Valley. He was 88.

Funeral services were held Nov. 2 at the Church of the Nazarene in Clearlake.

Mr. Stucky was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Lidgerwood, N.D. He married Virginia Stucky in 1942, and they dedicated much of their lives to the Nazarene Church and serving God. Together they cared for numerous foster children of all ages during the 20 years of their marriage.



Mr. Stucky is survived by his son, Gary Stucky; daughter, Laurel Joaquin; sisters Joyce Movius and Marci Darrow; grandchildren Eric, Verna, Winter and Nicole; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Stucky.




Those who knew Mr. Stucky remember him as a kind and gentle man who made friends easily and always sought to find the best in those he met. He loved to tell a good joke and wear Hawaiian shirts and wild ties.
