Everett Angove

A memorial service for Everett A. Angove of Grass Valley will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Community Church, 10795 Alta St.

Mr. Angove, 80, died Jan. 6 at his home. He was born March 23, 1924, in Nevada City to Ernest John Angove and Phillipa Curnow.

He graduated from Nevada City High School in 1942. He served in the Army Air Corps between 1943 and 1946 and spent 18 months in Saipan.



Mr. Angove was married on Aug. 25, 1946 in Grass Valley. He retired from the Nevada Irrigation District in 1982 after working there for nearly 39 years.

He enjoyed ornamental iron work.




He was preceded in death by his brother, Philip John Angove. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, of Grass Valley; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Angove, of Fresno; his daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Butch Fouyer, of Nevada City; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill Yassu, of Grass Valley; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
