Esthetician keeps skin aglow with natural products

Editor’s note: Erica Allen is an esthetician working at Atelier Salon in Grass Valley, balancing her passion for beautiful skin with her passion for her family.

What goods or services do you offer?

Up-to-date and popular esthetician techniques including facials, body treatment and waxing.

I have such a love and passion for what I do! I want everybody who walks into my treatment room to have a complete spa experience, leaving feeling refreshed and beautiful.

What makes you different?

I use the greenest products in town, called E’minence, which addresses a variety of skin concerns such as premature aging and wrinkling, sun damage, acne, loss of vitality and radiance.

The cures come from nature with ingredients that are good enough to eat. Let the aromas treat your senses and the ingredients impart health and beauty to your skin.

What do you love about your work?

I love being a mommy and wife first and foremost. I can create a schedule with my clients that works around my home life, giving me balance and success with my career.

I love educating my clients. I work on the largest organ of the body – the skin. Lots of people focus on being healthy on the inside, and I want to encourage my clients and promote being healthy on the outside as well,

What do you find most challenging?

A common challenge for estheticians is there are many people in my profession. However, I feel very confident in what I do. I enjoy dealing with people, and my performance matches my enthusiasm.

What is your background?

I was born and raised in Grass Valley and have spent most of my adult life here. My family is all local, and I am enthusiastic about keeping my business local, too.

I have seen our little town blossom. It has made me realize how important it is to keep business local and support our growing community. I feel privileged to be a part of that.
